ARTIST STATEMENT
Phoebe Grace is a Philadelphia-based sculptor making social, interactive work in public spaces. Predominantly working outside of traditional gallery settings, she engages with viewers in their daily landscapes and on their own terms in ways that are both playful and powerful. She has installed her work with and without permission in grocery stores, parks, and other public spaces, creating sites of play and discovery for people of all ages.
From 2021-2024, Phoebe worked as an independent tattoo artist, tattooing her unique, recognizable drawings on hundreds of people in Philadelphia, PA, New York, NY, Montreal, QC, Portland, OR, Chicago, IL, and Pittsburgh, PA.
Phoebe currently teaches sculpture and painting at The Arts League in West Philadelphia.
